The Hideout was a Person too

Nice place here, a hidden gem
A feral cat frolicked amid glowing plants
Shrines with dead leaves in them
The smell of incense clung stubbornly to those holy niches

A strange place, through and through
Though if the world fell apart
She could stay here
Unraveling mysteries for at least several decades
The seeds were sown for the foreseeable future

Alarms started to go off
Harsh warning sounds
But they served to alert the intruder
The basement stairs creaked in concert
The rabble outside increased their furor
The plants decided now was a perfect time for  mutiny

Several simultaneous disasters were occurring
But her future was bright and filled with silent mysteries
It was worth fighting for

Hideout
