Time comes down the shoot
Dispersed quickly, inhumanly
Delivered to different corners
“Woe is me, time has fled”
Says the bitter soul
But this particular one
Is attracted to time being frittered away

Things used to be different
The resilience was there
Discipline, patience, various things
Now the environment has improved a billionfold
And woe over time is still there
Except he scatters himself to all corners of a wooden earth on instinct
In the flash of a nanosecond
The vessel a fleshy urn
Because training is a stalwart friend, and won’t go away without a fight
