The United States was successful in taking down a mock ICBM over the Pacific in an attempt to boost its missile-defense program. This was obviously motivated by recent tensions with North Korea. The “test threat” originated from the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, which is neatly nestled away somewhere in the Marshall Islands.
The test conducted by the Pentagon followed Pyongyang’s launching of a short-range ballistic missile just two days earlier, which took a nosedive into Japan’s economic zone.
North Korea has been a problem ever since Trump took office, with Trump having been “bequeathed” a secret cyberwar from the Obama era directed at the authoritarian state.
